Today's update details the
changes and impact of the
recent expansion of Harry
Potter construction in the
Lost Continent. We also look
at Spider-Man enhancements
and Halloween Horror Nights

Today is the final day of
operation for The Flying
Unicorn. The attraction will
be closing to make way for
construction on the
Wizarding World of Harry
Potter. The odd thing about
the closure is that nothing
has been mentioned
officially by Universal.
Whether or not the
attraction will remain once
Potter opens is unknown,
though rumors suggest that
the attraction will be
re-themed to involve a
hippogrith - a mythical
creature from the franchise.

as myself, can only hope
that this great family
attraction will remain
post-Potter - of course
though, only time will tell.
For those of you in the
area, make sure to head on
out to the parks today and
take one final spin through
Merlin Wood. And in my last

officially announced their
newest addition - Manta.
This flying coaster will
open its doors Summer of
next year. IOACentral paid a

rehearsals! Naturally,

Site Updates

Since our re-opening on
Christmas, I've been hard at
work updating IOACentral and
improving our current layout
and offerings. In the first
phase of many, we have made
changes to our
Desktop Wallpaper
section, and have opened our
Universal Studios Japan
section. I have re-designed
the Desktop section, and to
much demand have added
wallpapers from Universal's
special events and other
theme parks. Amongst them,
you can find Halloween
Horror |

Nights wallpapers from the
past several years of the
event, as well as Grinchmas,
Macy's Holiday Parade, and
Mardi Gras. In the "Other
Park" section you will find
some excellent shots from
the Disneyland and Disney
World Resorts, as well Busch
Gardens Africa and Hard Rock
Park. Check it out

In addition to the
desktops, our
Universal Studios Japan
section has launched with
details and videos of the
park, as well as a photo
gallery featuring close to
100 photos. You can view

Finally, we're on the
verge of The Simpsons Ride
opening to guests - tonight
and tomorrow, park employees
are able to ride the
attraction on a special
preview. This is only a good
sign that the attraction is
almost ready to go and begin
operating with guests. You
